One thing I never do around the barn is store my slim stick and pocket string without wrapping it neatly. I dislike the look of tack or gear looking sloppy and in the case of a stick and string, I just hate tripping on the string, so here's the fix!
How to Wrap Your Stick and String Neatly
Pull the string tight like a bow and put your thumb on the lowest point to keep the string taut.
2.
Going upwards, wrap the string back over the top of itself
3.
When you run out of string, take a half hitch behind the taut string and voila! You can now hang your stick neatly on a hook or peg and it won't get hung up on your other ground tools!
